Scott Culler, 3M visiting wizard, explored forces and energy transmission with Paideia Academy sixth-graders on Dec. 2.
The students participated in a variety of fun and interactive experiments involving heat convection and conduction, compressive forces and states of matter to bring alive their current science unit.
The goal of the 3M Visiting Wizards program is to encourage young people to become interested in science and technology by providing interesting educational demonstrations and hands-on experiments on a variety of science topics. 3M volunteers go into the classroom to make science fun – and relevant for students.
