Stephanie was recently elected to the board and is the current Board Treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee. Stephanie holds a B.A. degree in international business with a minor in economics from the College of St. Thomas. She has been in sales in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and is currently a National Account Executive with Meet Minneapolis. Before being elected to the board, Stephanie served two years as chair of the PIE Committee and two years as chair of the Teacher Appreciation Committee. Stephanie and her husband, Troy, have two children attending the Academy and have been here since the school opened. |
Lynda Cavanaugh
Lynda is a current Board Member and a 5th grade teacher at Paideia Academy. She has a B.S. in Social Work from Winona State University and a Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities from Minnesota State University - Mankato. Lynda and her husband, Sean, live in Farmington with their 3 children. Their two youngest children have attended Paideia for 4 years. Aidan, their son, graduated from Paideia in the spring and will be attending Eastview High School in the fall. Their daughter, McKenna, will be in 6th grade this year at Paideia. Their oldest, Dylan, will be returning to UW-Eau Claire for his second year of college in the fall. Lynda is also the District Assessment Coordinator for Paideia and is also on the Transportation committee. |

Becky Hay, Secretary
Becky Hay was elected to the Board in 2010 and is the current Board Secretary and co-chair of the human resources committee. Becky has a B.A. in English and is employed as a Children’s Ministry Director for a Burnsville church. Becky and her husband, Dan have four children, three of whom currently attend Paideia. Their family has been a part of the Paideia community since it opened its doors in the fall of 2005. |
William Kobe
Bill is a current Board Member. He is also the Fine Arts teacher at Paideia Academy. He has a B.S. from UMD and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College. After a career in chiropractic, Bill followed a passion to teach art. He spent several years at Robbinsdale Schools and Learning for Leadership Academy, before finding his “dream job” at Paideia. Bill also serves on the Facilities Committee. |
Margaret Nufer
Maggie is a current Board Member and the 7th grade science teacher at Paideia Academy. She has a B.A. in Biology from St. Mary’s University and a Master’s in Education from Hamline University. She is currently working on her Teaching and Technology Certificate through Hamline University. Maggie also serves as the school’s Technology Coordinator and chairs the Technology and Marketing Committees. |
Jennifer Rothstein
Jennifer is a current board member and a 4th grade teacher at Paideia Academy. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She will start her master's degree in the fall of 2010 in Reading Instruction at the St. Mary's University of Minnesota with a K-12 reading certificate also. Jennifer currently lives in Eagan with her husband and plays softball throughout the summer and fall, and volleyball in the winter. Jennifer is the mentor teacher for the 2010-2011 school year and serves on the Curriculum Committee as well. |
Michael Stewart
Michael was elected to the Board in 2008 and is the current Board Treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee. He holds a B.S. in engineering as well as an MBA. He works as a business manager for Land O’Lakes. Michael and his wife, Gina, have three children who attend the Academy. |
Bret Walsh, Vice Chair
Bret Walsh was elected a Board Member in 2010 and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Governance & Long-Range Planning Committee. Bret holds a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and is licensed to practice law in Minnesota. Since 2003, he has been involved in K-12 education issues in the legislative and executive branches and at a large law firm. In addition, Bret has been involved in Paideia Academy for several years, most recently having served as a Founding Board Member for four years. Bret and his wife, Sarah, reside in Eagan with their two young children. |
