Kindergarten

My name is Heidi Johnson. I have been the Morning and Afternoon Kindergarten teacher at Paideia Academy for the past three years.  This year, I teach Core Knowledge/Minnesota State Kindergarten in the morning and Kindergarten Enrichment in the afternoon.  I am also blessed to have a teaching partner this year!  

I grew up here in Minnesota. I graduated from St. Cloud State in 1992, with a Bachelor of Science degree - majoring in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten endorsement. After I completed my kindergarten student teaching, I moved to California. Southern California was experiencing a teacher shortage at the time and I was excited to move away and begin my teaching career. I taught for eight years for the Palmdale School District, one-year teaching fifth grade and seven years teaching first grade. Prior to teaching kindergarten at Paideia, I taught preschool at Especially for Children in Edina.

I am thrilled with the opportunity to be teaching kindergarten here at Paideia.

Terry Christensen-Hansen
Kindergarten Enrichment

Hi, My name is Terry Christensen-Hansen or Ms. C- H.  I'm excited to have this great opportunity to teach Kindergarten Enrichment at Paideia Academy.  I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students.  I also anticipate building a strong relationship with their families, whom I believe play a very integral part in a student’s success. 

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Minnesota State University.  I also received my Pre-Primary License from Southwest.  I have nine years of teaching experience which include a combination 3yr/4yr program for two years, School Readiness program for four years, ECFE classes for four years, K-8th grade computer classes for six years, K-6th reading supplement classes for two years, summer school, and home visits, all at Lynd Public School in MN. Last year I subbed for Lakeville, Farmington, and Apple Valley/Eagan/Rosemount School Districts.  I will also be teaching Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning classes for Small Wonders Preschool in Lakeville.

My family consists of Brad, my fiancé, four daughters, Shaska, Sascha, Kassa, Allie, and one son, Colton. Our family is very busy with family and sporting events.  We have both Packer fans and Viking fans in our household.  We agree on the Twins!!!  I like reading, walking, cooking, and watching my children's events.
