Welcome to Paideia! My name is Ashley Gillingham and I teach fourth grade at Paideia Academy. I love working with the students and staff at Paideia.  Students are excited about learning and are always putting lots of effort into their work. The small class size allows our class to do a variety of different activities that address the needs of many different learning styles.  We also explore a range of different topics in social studies and science from ancient African kingdoms to electricity.  The Core Knowledge Sequence gives me the opportunity to explore the history of the world and read great literature like Robin Hood and Pollyanna with my students.

This is my third year teaching at Paideia.  I graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Sociology and received my teaching certificate at the University of St. Thomas.  Currently, I continue to take classes for my masters in elementary education with a concentration in reading. I enjoy spending time outside, reading, and traveling.

My name is Anne Branstad and I teach fourth grade at Paideia Academy. My first two years at Paideia were spent teaching first grade. This was a very enjoyable and rewarding experience, and presently I am thoroughly enjoying teaching fourth grade. This age group brings a lot of energy and knowledge to the classroom. I am excited to go even more in-depth in our already content rich curriculum.

This is my fourth year teaching at Paideia Academy. I appreciate the small class sizes and its focus on a liberal arts education. I have an elementary education degree with a reading endorsement and a minor in German. I live in St. Paul and love the outdoors. I spend a lot of my free time running, playing volleyball, reading and traveling.
