My name is Troy Strand, and I am the middle level band director, composer, and bass trombonist, originally from the Twin Cities area.  I received my Bachelor of Music Education from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and my Master of Music in Composition from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.  I have performed professionally with the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra and my music has been performed by professional and collegiate ensembles in Tennessee, Michigan, and Minnesota.  In 2006, I was named the Lee University Presser Scholar as well as Department of Instrumental Music Outstanding Graduate.
