I have a B.A. in Music and English from Lawrence University, an M.M. in vocal performance from the University of Michigan, and a B.M. in Music Education from the University of Minnesota. I have completed all three levels of Orff-Schulwerk training at the University of St. Thomas.
I have been a MacPhail instructor since 1997. I teach classes in the Early Childhood Arts department for parents and children as young as 6 weeks. I also teach Early Childhood music at several off-site programs. I have taught as a classroom music instructor through a variety of MacPhail partnerships at many schools including Paideia, Sojourner Truth Academy, and New City School. It is my pleasure to teach general music and choir at Paideia.
I love to sing. In the past, I have sung with many choirs, including the Minnesota Chorale. I also enjoy singing as a soloist. I play guitar, piano, and recorder, and I am learning how to play the violin along with my son, Elwood. I live with my husband, Todd, our son, and a dog, Jazz.
