Mary Lou Prouty
My name is MaryLou Prouty. I am the “in-house” substitute teacher for Paideia Academy. This is my sixteenth year of teaching and my second year being on staff. I absolutely love it! I count it a privilege to be a part of this exciting school and wonderful staff.
I grew up in Rochester, Mn. I graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I returned to Rochester and taught third grade for four and a half years. During this time, I married Tom Prouty. We've been married 30+ years and have one son and three daughters. The older three are married and live in the country of Latvia, and the states of Wisconsin and Oklahoma. Our youngest, Amanda, is nineteen and is attending Ripon College in Wisconsin.
Whenever possible, I enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren. We have four grandsons ages 7, 5, 2, and 1. I love being “Grandma”! I also enjoy time at our cabin reading (by the fire), canoeing, hiking, and just bumming around with Tom.
It is a true joy for me to teach the children at Paideia Academy. I look forward to a very rewarding year.
