 | Robbie Gunther
My name is Robbie Gunther and I am delighted to have joined the staff at Paideia Academy as a full time Speech-Language Pathologist and Reading Instructor, having been a contract employee for 2 years prior. My education includes a Masters degree in Communication Disorders and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, both from the University of Minnesota. I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 25 years and have worked in private practice, Children’s Hospitals & Clinics, Fraser Center for Exceptional Children and several schools. I am also certified at Level III Orton-Gillingham reading instruction by Orton-Gillingham Minnesota. I am passionate about language in all its forms, from non-verbal communication to the written word. I have always focused my practice on children and discovering ways to develop the keys to their unique communication abilities.
I live with my husband, 14-year old daughter, our Sheltie pup and 2 cats in St. Paul. In what’s left of my time outside of school after shuttling Rachel to activities, I enjoy the whirlpool at the gym after workouts, reading, playing family games and summer gardening. The dog takes me for nature walks daily, which restores my energy.
This school year I am wearing more hats than in the past and the collaboration with staff and the variety of work with students is exciting. I am looking forward to a great year of learning!
