Grade 6-8 Science

Grade 6 and 8 Science

My name is Becky Audette
, and this is my 3rd year here at Paideia. I have taught in the special education department and last year in 6th grade. Now I am very excited to dive into teaching 6th and 8th grade science. The small class sizes and sense of school community at Paideia are wonderful. I am excited to see what this year will bring! I graduated from Bethel University with my degree in Elementary Education with a middle school specialty of Science. I love teaching and bringing new ideas to the students that I teach. In my spare time I enjoy being at home with my husband, our 18 month old daughter and our little upcoming addition. I love to go for walks, scrapbook and spend time with friends and family.

Grade 7 Science

My name is Maggie Nufer
, and I hope you come to love science as much as I do! I came to Paideia because of the close community feeling among the staff and students. I got my B.A. in biology from St. Mary's University, my teaching license through Concordia University in Wisconsin and my master's degree in education through Hamline University. In addition to teaching science, I work on technology at Paideia. I am also a school board member, the girls volleyball co-coach the co-teacher of Science Club, an after school activity. Outside of school, I like to run, travel to new places and read. I love wandering around bookstores and trying new restaurants, too!

Special Education Science

My name is Zac Holm
and I am a Special Education teacher with 6th, 7th and 8th graders at Paideia. Helping students reach their fullest potential and looking at new ways to solve problems students may have in their learning is something I love to do. Each year I look forward to pushing students to reach new levels in their comprehension and abilities.  I lead Running Club and Theater Enrichment at Paideia as well, and find both activities enriching to one’s life.

I have worked closely with students, who have varying disabilities, for ten years. I have a B.A. in elementary education with a minor in pre-primary education as well as a second major in Bible knowledge. I also have my masters in Special Education, EBD and LD.  Working with students with special needs has been something I have wanted to do since Middle School.  Each day is an exciting, new blessing and adventure.

At home I spend time with my wonderful wife; beautiful, kindergarten, daughter, Aspen; and amazing son, Titus. I love my family!
