5th Grade

My name is Erin Harmon and this is my sixth year at Paideia. The small class sizes at Paideia help me attend to the wide variety of needs in my classroom. I came to Paideia because I love the vision of an academically rigorous education that includes the arts and music.

My degree is in Elementary Education with a specialty in Middle School Language Arts. I recently earned a Masters of Art in Education from Saint Mary’s University.  I live nearby with my three (yes, three!!) cats, Zhoe, Luna, and Shadow. I love to read, complete crossword puzzles, and spend time with my family . . . especially my sister and teaching partner, Jessica!

My name is Jessica Creighton, and I have been working at Paideia Academy since it opened.  I have been teaching fifth grade for the past 3 years and I am excited to be teaching it again this year.  I enjoy teaching at Paideia Academy because there is an abundance of teacher and parent support for all students.

I graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota, Mankato with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a middle school specialty in Language Arts.  I also received a Masters of Art in Education degree from Saint Mary’s University last year.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my husband, Jason.  We enjoy hiking, biking, running and any other outdoor activities.  I completed my second sprint triathlon in July as well as my fourth MS 150 in June.  I love participating in activities that challenge myself.  I currently live in Minneapolis with my husband Jason and our two cats.

My name is Lynda Cavanaughand this is my third year teaching at Paideia Academy.  I am very excited to be teaching on the 5th grade team again this year.  I am also excited to continue to be a member of the Paideia School Board again this year.  This will also be my second year at the District Assessment Coordinator.

I currently live in Farmington with my husband Sean and our three children, Dylan, 19, Aidan, 15, and McKenna, 12.  We also have a beautiful yellow lab dog, Liberty and two tabby cats, Maggi and Alli.  In my free time I enjoy spending time in my garden, camping, reading and watching my children’s activities.

Our two youngest children attended Paideia Academy for the last four years.  Our middle child, Aidan, graduated from Paideia grade this past spring and will be attending Eastview High School this year.  Our youngest, McKenna, will be a 6th grader this year at Paideia Academy.  Our oldest son, Dylan, will be starting his second year of college at University of WisconsinEau Claire in the fall.

Prior to teaching at Paideia, I spent two years teaching children on the Autism Spectrum and with Learning Disabilities in 3rd and 4th grade at Richfield Intermediate School in Richfield.  And prior to that I taught Middle School students on the Autism Spectrum at Farmington Middle School East and was a teaching assistant for students with Emotional, Behavior Disorders for two years at North Trail Elementary in Farmington.  My undergraduate degree is in Social Work and my Master’s degree is in Learning Disabilities.
