1st Grade
My name is Beth Odegard and I am a first grade teacher at Paideia Academy. This is my fifth year with the school. I really enjoy the small class sizes, supportive staff and parents, and the content rich curriculum that Paideia Academy offers. First graders have so much energy and enthusiasm for learning that it makes my job very rewarding. It is amazing to see the growth and progress of the students throughout the year.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead. I am currently taking graduate classes to obtain a M.A. in Literacy Education at Bethel University. I live in Eagan with my husband Jason. I enjoy reading, going to Twins games, and spending time with my friends and family.
My name is Molly Simon and I am a first grade teacher at Paideia Academy. This is my fourth year at Paideia, and I think that the family atmosphere of this school and the wonderful curriculum we teach keeps me coming back each year. I am so excited to be in first grade again and I thoroughly enjoy working with their energy, love of learning, and noticeable academic/social/emotional growth during our time together!
I graduated from St. Olaf College in 2005 with my B.A. in Psychology and my Elementary Education License. I am currently working on my Masters in Literacy Education at Bethel University.
On my free time, I love to run, hang out with family and friends, and work on landscaping in the yard.

My name is Kristie Chaffee, and I am the special education teacher for the first grade classrooms. I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Elementary Education. This is my first year teaching at Paideia Academy and I am excited to work with these wonderful first graders! It will be a great year!
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, going to sporting events, and shopping. I just got married in June, and my husband and I have been settling in the Minneapolis area with our cat named, Kitty.
